Amanda Duggan
Amanda Duggan is the warm, witty force behind Amanda’s Easy Eats , a cooking series born from the most heartfelt of intentions—to teach her kids how to cook. What began as a simple Facebook page has grown into a beloved YouTube channel, where Amanda brings simple, delicious recipes to life, often joined by her daughter Alex, who typically makes her cameo from the kitchen sink, iPhone in hand.
A television producer by trade, Amanda has spent years directing and producing food programs across Australia and abroad. Her career has taken her behind the scenes of some of the world’s most mouth-watering kitchens, but it’s Italy that has truly captured her culinary heart. Travelling there annually for work, Amanda has—through sheer passion and osmosis—absorbed traditional recipes from every corner of the country, adding a touch of la dolce vita to her everyday meals.
With Amanda’s Easy Eats , she combines professional storytelling flair with home-cooked charm, making every episode feel like a family gathering—chaos, love, and all.
Alex Duggan
Alex Duggan is the behind-the-scenes mastermind of Amanda’s Easy Eats —though you’ll often find her very much in the scene, perched in the kitchen sink, iPhone in hand, capturing every sizzling, stirring, and slightly chaotic moment. As the unofficial director, DOP, and chief interrogator (her mother would say pest , but with love), Alex brings humour, energy, and a fresh Gen Z sparkle to every episode.
A social media whizz and natural-born content creator, Alex has a flair for knowing exactly what the audience wants—sometimes before they do. Whether it’s a quick cut, a cheeky caption, or a perfectly timed question that drives Amanda up the wall (“Mum, what is a béchamel anyway?”), Alex’s presence has become an essential part of the Easy Eats charm.
She’s also a budding creative cook herself, gradually stepping out from behind the camera to share her own food ideas—often modern twists on the classic Italian recipes Amanda picked up during her travels. Together, they’re proof that cooking is better when it’s messy, funny, and shared with the people you love (even if one of them keeps filming from the sink).
