Michael Keelan
Michael Keelan, known to most South Australian’s as one of our “favourite sons” is without a doubt one of the most popular radio and television presenters in our state. With numerous years’ experience in the media, Michael hosts the top rating lifestyle and gardening radio program on Radio Fiveaa each weekend, and as an established horticultural editor with SA Life magazine and also as a co-host on “SA Life” TV on Channel 7.
The big screen is not new to Michael as he and Michael Angelakis are the two fun loving hosts of “Out of the Blue” a popular cooking program now on Channel 7 Adelaide and Seven 2 Nationally.
For Michael who is married to Prue and has three children and five grandchildren, it is obvious that his family is the true pivot of his life. He enjoys everything he tackles and loves to travel throughout Australia as well as overseas.
His interests are numerous and include gardening, cooking, fishing, dining out, theatre, music, travelling, movies, wine-tasting……. in fact he enjoys all the great joys of life.
Michael devotes much of his spare time to helping numerous charities and has a particular fondness for children’s causes and men's health issues.
Michael Angelakis
Michael Angelakis is a successful South Australian television personality and businessman, having appeared on a variety of television shows since the early 1980s.
Michael began presenting on Adelaide Today where, as a successful fishmonger, he presented a variety of fresh seafood and cooked a delicious recipe once a week. It was on Adelaide Today that he began presenting a segment with long-time friend, and fellow South Australian television personality, Michael Keelan. Their partnership grew into their own television show, Out of the Blue, a cooking and destination show that specialises in seafood. The show has been airing on Channel 9 and Channel 7 for over a decade and is looking forward to continuing to profile Australia’s wonderful coastal life.
