In this episode...

The region of Abruzzo is located towards the south of Italy, and borders the glittering blue Adriatic Sea. If there’s one thing that Abruzzo is famous for, it’s food. Home to a famous culinary institute, Abruzzo’s Villa Santa Maria also hosts the Sagra dei Cuochi, the Festival of the Cooks, and the village has been famous for its spectacular cookery since the 16th century. Maccheroni alla Chitarra is the region’s most famous pasta dish, and is created by cutting pasta dough into long strips using steel wires. Adam explores different recipes using Maccheroni alla Chitarra, and visits the place where Italy’s best chefs have studied.
