Emilia-Romagna, a region in the north, is one of the richest regions in Italy, with most of the towns situated on the Via Emilia, a long road built in Roman times that leads across the region. Emilia-Romagna is home to the city of Bologna, the birthplace of the famous Bolognese sauce! Adam will explore the origins of this staple Italian sauce, from its origins with cream, few tomatoes and ragu beef, to the modern, rich version we all eat in Australia today.
