In this episode...

What do Frank Sinatra, Sophia Loren and the Pope all have in common?  They have all dined at Zeffirino’s.  Located in the diverse city of Genoa on the Ligurian coast, the restaurant has been operating since 1939 because the Bisso family know food and know how to sell it.  Marco, the third generation to work in the restaurant is keen to preserve the family traditions but understands that they must evolve slowly.  His son Riccardo, the fourth generation has different ideas, “now I do what I want and my family accept that because if they don’t I tell them I’m going to be a fireman, they are scared and I use that!” Riccardo’s grandfather Luciano is an avid collector; in fact, he has a room full of Pope Memorabilia, including dirty plates the pope has eaten from that he has preserved in plastic!
